Messages sent with a MediaUrl to a recipient whose carrier does not support MMS can be sent as an SMS with a shortened URL linking to your media. The shortened URL link (http//m.twil.io/ followed by 6 unique characters) will be appended to the end of the SMS message body.
Enabled: Messages to a recipient whose carrier cannot be reached via MMS will be sent as an SMS with a shortened URL linking to your media.
Disabled: Messages to a recipient whose carrier cannot be reached via MMS will not be sent. Your application will receive an HTTP 400 response and your message will not be queued for delivery.

In order to protect media access stored at Twilio, you can enforce authentication to access them by enabling HTTP Basic Authentication in your Twilio Account. This setting requires your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token or API Key for all requests to access Voice and Messaging media files, such as recordings and messages' images. Twilio highly recommends enabling HTTP Basic Authentication for your media, especially if it contains sensitive data.
Enabled: Media is protected from public access and HTTP Basic Authentication is required to access media urls.
Disabled: Media is not protected from public access and anyone with the media url can access it.
